Adapted from Sunrise Kitchens Catering in Van Nuys, California. A sweet tangy iconic sesame dressing is a perfect salad dressing for mixed greens. Try it as a nice marinade for chicken or salmon
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 cup good quality sesame oil
- 3/4 cup white wine vinegar
- 1 cup salad oil (avocado oil or other neutral oil works well)
Simply measure out your ingredients into a either
A bowl where a little elbow grease and a whisk can be used to combine.

I like to use a blender or my mini blue Cuisinart

Another option is to put all the ingredients into a mason jar with a lid and
SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE.
(This is a good option to save a dish or two. your dressing can be stored in the fridge in the mason jar it was emulsified in. or any jar with a tightly fitted lid.
This is a delicious sweet tangy dressing, a good quality sesame oil adds a nice rich flavor and aroma. It is viscous and a little goes a long way and a word to the wise be careful not to spill any. Sesame oil it is particularly hard to clean up, but it’s worth the risk.
It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month.
